Is Bobby Moynihan finally going to be a full-time cast member on SNL?

Bobby has been featured for two seasons on SNL now. Sure, he hasn't stolen the show as well as Andy, Bill, and Kristen did in their first season (they were all promoted after only one season), but Bobby has proven himself with great characters and amazing impressions! Plus he's pretty funny when he's playing himself. Here's a comment from Kate:

Wake me when Bobby Moynihan is made a full-time cast member. He deserves it.

Cowboy Hiphop is not an SNL skit (Bobby Moynihan mentioned)

Wait, we don't recognize anyone from the "SNL" cast -- Fred Amisen, Abby Elliot, Will Forte, Bill Hader, Bobby Moynihan, Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis -- in this infomercial about a new dance craze called Cowboy Hip Hop.

We're posting this just cuz Bobby Moynihan's name was used for this joke. Think about it... Kenan, Andy, Jenny, Seth, and Nasim weren't listed here, and previous SNL players weren't listed. So this is just a showing of the perception that Bobby Moynihan is a legitimate member and mainstay on SNL. Now if Lorne will just promote him to main cast (and not featured player) this next year. I assume Lorne will promote Abby and Bobby (and maybe Nasim; I think Jenny is the most likely to be featured for another year, and possibly Nasim as well).

Bobby Moynihan mentioned as a draw for Chelsea, New York

Chelsea may not be New York's most picturesque district, but it has its enticements. Comedy fans should visit the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre along the street, which puts on improv shows for as little as $5, often showcasing rising stars – some of the current performances include Zach Woods (The Office/In The Loop) and Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live).

Bob Odenkirk mentions that his wife manages Bobby Moynihan

So my wife [Naomi Odenkirk] is a talent manager. She manages some great actors and actresses including Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader and Bobby Moynihan and Jenna Fischer, so she’s always going out to see shows like at The Groundlings and the Upright Citizen Brigade Theater and the Second City whenever she’s in Chicago.

Is Bobby Moynihan the biggest Lost fan?

To call Bobby Moynihan a “Lost” nerd would be an understatement. The “Saturday Night Live” cast member is an obsessive fan of the mind-bendy sci-fi show, which [came to an end], as well as the proud owner of all six seasons of the show on DVD, a plethora of “Lost” action figures — both in and out of their boxes — and a Dharma station jumpsuit.



To demonstrate his love, Moynihan donned said jumpsuit for the final segment of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade’s salute to “Lost”... The evening began with a short taped message from Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse (where have these guys not been this past week?), followed by a set of “Lost”-themed sketches, some hilarious, some not so much. Towards the end of the evening, Samm Levine (forever Neal Schweiber from “Freaks and Geeks” to us) stopped by to riff on his guest star spot from earlier this season, in which he played a clerk at a Mr. Cluck’s Chicken Shack franchise. In his sketch, he pretended to pitch a network executive about possible “Lost” spin-off shows involving his character — “Cluck My Dad Says,” anyone?

The final comedian to perform was Moynihan, who didn’t perform a sketch so much as emotionally narrate a slideshow of his relationship with “Lost” over the past six years. He warned the audience he might cry, as he showed pictures of himself with his memorabilia, ranging from a full spread of his “Lost” trading cards to a picture of himself with his “Lost” board game in his shower.

He also showed off pictures of himself with Darlton, Michael Emerson, and Jorge Garcia, screenshots of how he’s managed to work “Lost” references into various “Saturday Night Live” sketches, from asking for Rose’s seat number during an airplane sketch to wearing a Dharma sweatshirt during Jon Hamm’s sign-off when he hosted the the show. Moynihan said his on-air “Lost” plug led to both a personal and Twitter acknowledgement from Lindolof, and after Lindelof and Moynihan became Facebook friends, the former sent the latter a full set of the sold-out, limited edition posters featured on Damon, Carlton and a Polar Bear. If that’s how epic “Lost” nerd-dom is rewarded, we wouldn’t want to live any other way.
